Pufferfish recruits top marketer

We have appointed Ross Wilson as our new head of marketing.

The announcement follows our latest successful funding round of £600,000. In recent months, we have also appointed a new CEO, technology industry leader Elaine Van Der Berg, as we strive to significantly boost the business in the global display market.

Ross has impressive UK and international marketing experience spanning the arts, medical, education, and broadcast industries. He joins us following a stint as a marketing and management consultant, including as an advisor to the British Museum on its contract to jointly create a national gallery in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates.

Commenting on his decision to join our growing company as Head of Marketing, Ross said: “Some of the biggest brands in the world trust the innovative products and services that Pufferfish provides. Having the likes of NASA, Microsoft and Google on our client list shows we’re on the right path and I am proud to be part of the team helping with the journey.”

As a company we specialise in market-leading spherical displays and have created immersive solutions for an impressive list of clients including BBCFortumAmazon Prime and Aramco. Our innovative display systems deliver highly interactive engagement and multi-sensory experiences at settings including visitor attractions, scientific and educational institutions, and corporate activities.

We are in the process of launching upgraded versions of two of our core products, PufferSphere and PufferTouch, which feature even sharper images and more powerful touch functionality than ever.

Elaine Van Der Berg, Pufferfish’s Chief Executive added: “Ross joins us at an exciting time, as we have secured the investment needed to capitalise on new opportunities and continue to expand our product offerings. He will be key in growing our market position, driving growth, and delivering commercial success.”

Ross is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and has been the recipient of 19 major industry awards. He has previously held positions at organisations including the Edinburgh Playhouse Theatre, the Edinburgh International Film Festival, the National Galleries of Scotland, and at national cancer charity Myeloma UK.
